Caleb was awesome!!! Super great work installing our new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal, as well as flushing our hot water heater and doing a full house plumbing inspection. He was easy to work with and I didn’t feel like he was up-charging me (for someone who knows little to nothing about plumbing lol). Honest, speedy, and reliable service.

No, installing a gas line is not a do-it-yourself project. If you don’t have a professional technician, like one of those from 615 Plumbing, install your gas line, you are likely to encounter problems that place yourself and those in your home in danger.
When it comes to deciding how to power your home and its appliances, your monthly energy bill budget is likely a big consideration. As such, it’s important to know that historically natural gas has been a cheaper option than electricity to heat a home and power its appliances.
Generally speaking, gas lines are installed 18-24 inches below the ground. However, different climates and home systems may require a line to be installed at a different depth.
It can be very dangerous when trying to excavate near a buried gas pipe. To locate your buried piping, call your local energy provider or give us a call at 615 Plumbing.
It will depend on a lot of things to decipher how long it will take to get natural gas service installed for your home. A professional at 615 Plumbing will help establish a timeline and plan that will identify when construction will start, and provide you regular updates throughout the process until gas service is available.
Gas pipelines typically last for decades before needing to be replaced. Make sure you have an HVAC technician at 615 Plumbing help perform yearly maintenance on your gas pipelines to ensure they last as long as possible.
You will most likely need a gas line installation in the following circumstances: the gas pipes are old and/or worn out, a severe weather event or natural disaster damages the lines, you’ve experienced recurring gas leaks, you are in the process of constructing a new home or addition to an existing building, and/or you are upgrading your appliance. Gas line replacement and installation always needs to be done by a professional, so call a qualified technician at 615 Plumbing when you’re thinking of replacing and installing new gas lines in your home.
The complexity and scope of your home’s gas line installation or replacement can dictate the labor cost for the project. If your home requires an extensive, complicated installation, then the labor costs for the project are likely to be higher.
To install your home’s gas line, a 615 Plumbing technician will have to run your line from your home to the main supply line. The further your home is from the main supply line, the longer your line that needs to be installed has to be, and thus the more expensive your installation cost will be.
In some cases, there may be additional costs associated with connecting your home’s gas line to the main supply line from your provider.
Depending on the jurisdiction, a permit may be required to install a new gas line for your home. No need to worry though, 615 Plumbing technicians have the appropriate expertise to guide you through the permit process.
Normally, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs a shut off valve. Shut-off valves are an important part of any gas line installation to ensure the safety of those in your home.
Perhaps the most indicative cost determinant when it comes to installing a gas line is the type of piping a homeowner elects to have installed. A 615 Plumbing technician can help you determine what type of piping is best for your Nashville home.

Max is awesome!!!!!! These guys are a bit pricey... But the customer service is more than 5/5. Perfect example of you get what you pay for. On time with great communication of when he was arriving, polite and professional. Had a little issue after he left, he came back the same day and fixed it right up. One of my dogs kept barking at him and he just laughed and petted her. Oh... The work... I forgot about that one!!! We had to have our lines jetted and he was not quick about it. He spent a long time to make sure everything was done perfectly. I will be asking for Max specifically the next time I need a plumber.
